WHAT IS A TRADITIONAL NATUROPATH? Although the term "Naturopathy" originated in the late 19th Century, the art can be traced back through Germany into Greece, to Hippocrates himself, and even beyond. There have always been people who understood that healing will occur naturally in the human body, if it is given what it truly needs, that is, proper diet, pure water, fresh air, sunlight, exercise, and rest. For these people, the emphasis has not been on finding disease and killing it, but rather on helping the body establish its own state of good health. Today, these people are known as Traditional Naturopaths.
While Traditional Naturopaths recognize that allopathic health care is, at times, necessary, they understand that many accepted allopathic treatments can be harmful. Allopathic philosophy holds that disease is caused by external agents, chiefly bacteria and viruses. According to this belief system, a cure will result when these offending agents are eliminated. In addition, allopathic belief also tends to look at the symptom and the disease as one in the same, so that when the symptom has been eliminated, it is presumed that the disease is "cured."
The Traditional Naturopath, however, sees a symptom as nothing more than a signal that something is wrong. According to Naturopathic belief, when a symptom alone is eliminated, it is most likely being suppressed. Unless the original cause has also been eliminated, the symptom may return later in a chronic form.
Although the term "Doctor" is generally held to mean "Medical Doctor," the practice of the Traditional Naturopath may be more true to the old meaning of that word. The origin of the word "doctor" was the Latin "docere," which meant "to teach." A Traditional Naturopath does exactly that, teaching skills that will carry clients into a healthy, strong, and independent future.

NEW Therapies available
• HOMEOPATHIC IMPRINTER is a device that utilizes the latest in Vibrational/Energy therapies. By combining with the basic principles of Homeopathy, the imprinter records the vibrational signature of the body, including the various harmful pathogens, amplifies these vibrations many times over, and using a type of bio-feedback to the body, stimulates the body to return to balance. Much like the way an opera singer shatters glass by hitting a high enough note. Parasites, bacteria, viruses, and other organisms are damaged, killed, or unable to propagate when they encounter the frequencies generated.
• Q1000 - QLasers are completely safe, non-toxic and non-invasive. In short, it is the application of controlled light over injuries and painful areas to stimulate natural healing within those tissues. A low level laser is a device that projects safe levels of energy into your cells allowing you to recover from illness or injuries and to live a pain free life.

Iris Analysis
Iridology is the study of the iris structure, fibers, and pigmentation to determine information about our physical and psychological makeup.
The value of the iris has been known for centuries, as revealed in the writings of Hippocrates in regards to the relation to disease and the changes that occur in the eye. Records retrieved from archaeological excavations in the Far East and Asia Minor have also shown the relationship between the iris and the body. This science continued to develop throughout the 1800’s in Sweden and Hungary. Iridology was introduced in the United States in 1904 when an Austrian doctor published the first book on iridology. However, iridology soon lost its place as a viable form of health diagnosis when the American Medical Association began its campaign against naturopaths, homeopaths, and other natural healers who did not practice allopathic medicine. However, thanks to the pioneering efforts of Bernard Jensen over the last thirty years, iridology has resurged once again as a respectable and accurate method of health diagnosis.
Iridology is the science of analyzing the delicate structures of the iris to identify the genetic constitutional make-up of an individual. Each fiber, structure, color, pattern and pigment in the eye provides a rich and detailed expression of our genetic behavioral and physical body. The iris reveals such data as: our genetically inherited tendencies, areas of toxic settlement, organ activity, nerve tensions, congestion, inflammation, and predispositions toward inherent health patterns. All the information in the eye is genetically inherited based on our DNA code from our ancestors.
This method of analysis is remarkably accurate because areas of stress send a signal through the nervous system leaving a tell-tale mark on the sensitive iris. The iris is an extension of the brain, and the most complex tissue of the body meeting the outside world. Forty percent of the cranial nerves going in and out of the brain are to the eye. All these impulses passing through the optic nerve make the eyes small organs reflecting a neuro-optic picture screen of enormous amounts of information.
An iridology assessment begins by identifying the person’s core constitution, which is determined by eye color. Then the iridologist examines the density of the iris fibers to determine the physical resiliency of the person. For example, tightly woven fibers with no openings indicate a strong constitution in which a person can resist negative influences easily, and recover quickly from an illness.
An iridologist will then examine the patterns in the iris, and any specific markings and their location. The particular areas of markings can tell us a myriad of things about any of the systems of the body including the digestion and absorption, distribution, utilization of food, detoxification, and elimination systems. The influences in our eyes will always be there as a reminder of our strengths and weaknesses.
I believe iridology will be at the forefront of change because it allows us to practice preventive medicine. The health care system in the United States is in disarray because it focuses only on disease treatment, as opposed to prevention. One way to change this focus to one of prevention is by using methods such as iridology which tell us about a person’s overall constitution. When we know from a young age what our weaknesses are, we can take steps to monitor these areas and treat them before a serious problem arises.
The definition found in the medical dictionary states that constitution is “The make-up or functional habit of the body determined by the genetic, biochemical and physiological endowment of the individual and modified in great measure by environmental factors.” The better we understand our constitutional makeup, the better we can cope with the ever-changing external influences.
The information gathered in an iridology assessment can be used to formulate a diet and lifestyle conducive to good health. You will learn what organs and systems to support to increase vitality and bring about balance. For example, if your eyes show circular arcs or portions of arcs spread throughout the iris this may indicate a condition of anxiety, tension or stress in the environment which is finding its way into body tissues, resulting in rigidity, stiffness and restriction of blood and nerve supplies. Also known as neuro-vascular cramping.
With a stream constitution such as I am. This type is characterized by very straight and fine eye fibers and an absence of psori or lacuna. Jensen calls this a strong constitution. This is a balanced fiber structure type along with a strong physical structure. The stream type has a tendency towards nervous and stress-related disorders such as: central nervous system weakness, headaches, vascular spasms, shingles and MS. Personality-wise, these people are physically oriented. They are kinesthetic learners. They respond to life with action and try to keep things running smoothly. They often feel responsible for everything and have difficulty letting anything “fall through the cracks”. Often their most difficult lesson is to learn their own limits, to know when to stop and rest or recreate themselves.
The iris is very complex, which is why it is important to look at all aspects of the eye to get a “complete picture” of the person. We must remember that it is the DNA which ultimately controls our behavior. The positions and traits found in the eye determine where the DNA will have the greatest effect upon us. When we use only iridology as an assessment, we only receive the physical information about the person. Our thoughts and emotions are just as important in shaping our health. A holistic practitioner first uses iridology to understand a person’s physical predispositions to diseases, then they help someone understand how or why they have the sickness with the Rayid behavioral model. This is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. The first records of the use of plants as medicine was set down on papyrus scrolls and parchments, thousands of years ago. The unofficial record of herbal knowledge has been handed down over generations by word of mouth. Herbal knowledge is important for curing ailments, preserving food, dyeing cloth, repelling insects, adding "spice" to our lives and color to our gardens.
Many common garden-variety herbs cross the boundaries between culinary and medicinal qualities. Peppermint (or other mint varieties) can be infused in water to make a tea to sooth a stomach upset or peppermint oil can be added to oils and linments for a cooling anaestheic effect on skin - increasing blood flow to the area to which it is applied.
Specific herbs may be employed to encourage the removal of toxins from the body - to stimulate the gall bladder, liver, kidneys. They may be used topically to increase blood flow to muscular, joint, skin tissues.
Let us bring a taste of the European biological methods of treatment to our in-home atmosphere at the The Country Doctor Detox Center.
This center is for anyone who wants to learn fasting techniques, detoxification and how to cleanse and rebuild the body.
In European spa’s, many arthritis sufferers have received much relief with this program. You will arrive at 9:30 a.m. to work on your program of health. Please bring a swimming suit and a towel. Bring some jars with lids to take home any leftovers. The cost of this program is only $300 for the day. These are just some of the examples of what we will be doing.
Dry Brush Massage
Dry brush massage is an important therapeutic measure. It stimulates the circulation; brings the blood to the skin; keeps skin clean from dead cells and impurities; and opens the pores. The skin is your biggest eliminative organ and it is of vital importance that it functions efficiently.
Lymph Drainage Massage
The proper functioning of the lymphatic system is critical to our body’s ability to drain stagnant fluids, detoxify, regenerate tissues, filter out toxins and foreign substances, and maintain a healthy immune system.
Hot and Cold shower
Practitioners attach a great deal of importance to an alternating hot and cold shower. It is administered in the morning. After, the patient receives a rigorous dry brushing and is rubbed with a coarse towel until he/she is completely warmed up. The importance of the alternating hot and cold shower lies in the fact that it stimulates the adrenal and other endocrine glands and reactivates their functions. We call such a shower a cortisone injection-but without cortisone’s undesirable side effects!
Vegetable Broth
Boiling all kinds of available vegetables, but predominantly potatoes, carrots, and celery makes this vegetable broth. The liquid is highly alkaline, mineral-packed broth, which is considered to be of extraordinary importance in biological arthritis therapy. It combats acidosis or a tendency toward a high acidity in the bloodstream and tissues.
Colon Cleansing
Mucus coats the villit of the intestine and greatly inhibits the assimilation of Vitamins and Minerals from the food, resulting in a continuous loss of energy. We recommend keeping the large intestine clean from wastes which will speed evacuation of toxic matter from the system through the bowels. Drinking pure water and taking Ivy’s recipe could be used as an alternative to colonic therapy, two times a day.
This day is designed with you in mind. You may also pick from any of my signatures, specific recipes for your dis-ease, Emotional Release and Trauma Healing work, Sauna Therapy, Foot Detox Baths, Herbal wraps, facials, weight loss treatments, one on one education specific for your blood type and dietary needs. Current vacuum therapies are a modern use of an ancient tool and possess the benefits of traditional use, along with many incredible new applications. This therapy utilizes glass or plastic cups and a vacuum pistol, bulb or machine to create suction on the body surface. These cups are moved over the skin using gliding, shaking, popping and rotating techniques while gently pulling up on the cup, and are parked for a short time to facilitate joint mobilization or soft tissue release. This suction can reach deep into the soft tissue or can work superficially to pull inflammation and toxins toward the surface so that the skin and lymphatic system can readily eliminate them. Scar tissues often release quickly, despite the age of the injury or keloid tendencies.
One of the most amazing aspects of this technique is the "separation" that the vacuum produces in tissue layers. This enables water absorption and renewed blood flow to undernourished and dehydrated tissue, which is invaluable in pre- and post-surgery treatments. It is becoming evident that separation of fused, congested soft tissue and increase in tissue function can be a catalyst for change in many current health conditions.
Chinese Cupping can be an add-0n to your body treatment or 30 min. treatment for $45. I found it to be very good for lower back issues and cellulite.
